PEOPLE who suffer from skin problems can now be treated at a private retreat, away from the public eye, thanks to a Taplow cosmetologist.
Louise Symons runs the Ivy Retreat, a skincare salon situated behind her home in the quiet, secluded Boundary Road and believes it is the perfect place for those people who are shy about their appearance.
Louise treats a range of problems, from acne and wrinkles to stretch marks and scars, but never loses sight of the privacy many people crave as they receive treatment.
She said: "The best thing about the retreat is that it is just that - people can leave here and get straight in their car and go home without having to walk through the centre of town or see anyone else.
"I even make sure my appointments don't overlap so clients don't bump into each other in the waiting area."
Louise is different from a dermatologist because she deals with image problems, not medical issues, and does not treat serious infections, but that does not detract from the serious nature of her role and the happiness many people get from her treatments.
